We work with property owners who want to sell their mineral, royalty and overriding royalty interests in order to quickly realize the value of their assets – for both large and small assets. You'll receive lump sum upfront, allowing you to realize the value of your assets today, rather than over a long period of time under traditional royalty payments.

Bakken Shale Overview

The Bakken Shale is part of the Williston Basin and covers over 200,000 square miles in western North Dakota, eastern Montana, and Manitoba and Saskatchewan in Canada. It is estimated to be one of the most productive plays in the United States today. Production began in earnest in the 1990s with the development of horizontal drilling and hydraulic fracturing processes, which made recovery of the gas and oil cost-effective and profitable.

The Bakken Shale is a late Devonian-Mississippian formation. It consists of upper and lower organic-rich layers, with a mixed middle layer that consists of dolomitic sand. The upper and lower layers hold the gas reserves.
