SCOOP Play Mineral Rights

Oklahoma, whose natural gas, oil and liquids formations are spread far and wide, is one of the top five of U.S. producing states with some of the largest oilfields - including the SCOOP Play. Momentum Minerals has experience in evaluating and purchasing the mineral rights, royalties and overriding royalties for shale resources throughout  Oklahoma and the SCOOP Play.

SCOOP PLAY OVERVIEW

The SCOOP Play - or South-Central Oklahoma Oil Province - a southern extension of the Woodford Shale’s Cana play, encompasses 3,300 square miles of south-central Oklahoma; most of the interest is within four counties: Stephens, Grady, Garvin and Carter. Shale and basin plays in Oklahoma have yielded mostly natural gas, but production of oil and condensates has been rising, in part because of increasing exploration and production.

There are several companies with extensive leaseholds in SCOOP and exploration activity underway such as: Marathon Oil, Newfield Exploration, and Eagle Rock Energy Partners with Continental Resources being out front in the SCOOP as well.

As the SCOOP continues to develop and expand it is becoming more attractive to additional producers by offering high yields of oil and condensate.
