Our management team has DECADES OF EXPERIENCE in buying mineral rights and royalties. We have the expertise needed to ACCURATELY EVALUATE the value of mineral assets, royalties or overriding royalities.

James is Co-Founder and CEO of Momentum Minerals. Prior to forming Momentum, James was Co-Founder and Portfolio Manager for the Apollo Royalties platform, created with senior partners of Apollo Global Management, LLC. Apollo Royalties focused on the acquisition of royalties, minerals and overriding royalties across the U.S. Prior to joining Apollo, James was the CFO at Phillips Energy Partners, LLC from February 2008 to September 2012. Phillips was an EnCap Investments sponsored oil and gas royalty and mineral acquisition company headquartered in Shreveport, Louisiana.

James was formerly the Vice President on the national board of directors of National Association of Royalty Owners (NARO). James is also the co-founder and past president of the Louisiana Chapter of NARO. Over his career, James has served in various capacities on the boards of both state and national level chapters for NARO. James is also a founding advisor and current board member of the National Minerals Association.

James is also an avid supporter and contributes time and resources to various charitable organizations, but especially those closest to him as a father of three children with special needs: People Against Leigh Syndrome, The Rise School of Houston, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Southern Chapter, and Steel Magnolia Moms.

James graduated from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas with a BA in Economics and received his MBA with full academic scholarship from St. John's University, New York, New York.

Outside of work, James enjoys spending time with his wife, Elizabeth, and two boys, Blair (12) and Clark (6) snow skiing, golf, and running. He has completed 4 full marathons and numerous half marathons.

Josh currently serves as Chief Financial Officer for Momentum Minerals. Prior to joining Momentum, Josh worked in the Investments, Mergers, and Acquisitions group for EDP Renewables, focusing on greenfield investments and acquisitions for commercial scale renewable energy production. Before that, Josh worked in the Economic and Valuation Services practice at KPMG, providing business valuation consulting services related to M&A, tax, and financial reporting primarily within the oil, gas, and power generation industries.

Josh also has previous experience providing land services to independent oil and gas companies, including title work, leasehold acquisition, and oversight of well-level land management activities from leasehold acquisition to spud.

Josh received his BA and MBA from the University of Texas at Austin.

Sarita is the CAO of Momentum Minerals. She is responsible for Accounting, Treasury, HR, and Acquisition related functions within the organization. Sarita previously oversaw the oil & gas royalty revenue for Apollo Global Management. Prior to joining Apollo, she worked in the accounting department at Rosetta Resources who was later acquired by Noble Energy.

Sarita graduated from the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks, ND with a BA in Accounting.

Sarita is a member of The National Association of Royalty Owners.

Preston currently serves as Executive Vice President of Engineering for Momentum Minerals. Prior to joining Momentum, Preston was an Associate with Detring Energy Advisors focusing on upstream A&D advisory. Prior to Detring, Preston was a Reservoir Engineer with Encino Energy focusing on A&D and portfolio management covering primarily the Anadarko and Appalachian Basins. Preston began his career with Newfield Exploration working the Eagle Ford and Williston Basin in several engineering capacities.

Preston received his BS in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.

Preston is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE).

Marc currently serves as Executive Vice President of Land and Business Development for Momentum Minerals. Prior to joining Momentum, Marc worked with Wise & Susong, LLC where he managed all land functions for a portfolio of clients, including Momentum and Apollo Royalties Management. Prior to Wise & Susong, Marc worked for Shoreline Gas, LLC where he marketed natural gas and natural gas liquids for independent operators. Prior to Shoreline Gas, Marc was an independent landman for Moffitt & Associates.

Marc received his BA from the University of Texas at Austin.
