Our Team

James is currently Co-CEO of Momentum Minerals. Prior to forming Momentum, James was the Portfolio Manager for the Apollo Royalties platform under Apollo Global Management LLC, which focused on the acquisition of royalties, minerals and overriding royalties across the U.S. Prior to joining Apollo, James was the CFO at Phillips Energy Partners, LLC from February 2008 to September 2012.

James is formerly the Vice President on the national board of directors of The National Association of Royalty Owners as is currently a board member at large. James is also the co-founder and past president of the Louisiana Chapter of the National Association of Royalty Owners.

James graduated from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas with a BA in Economics and received his MBA from St. John's University, New York, New York.

Kevin Lorenzen is a founder and Co-CEO of Momentum Minerals, LLC, where he is responsible for deal generation, land and legal and overall management of the portfolio. Prior to starting Momentum, he was a Portfolio Manager at Apollo Global Management, where he launched the minerals and royalties platform, forming Apollo Royalties Management alongside senior partners of Apollo Natural Resources Partners. Prior to joining Apollo, Kevin was the founding member of Classic Energy Partners, Basin Minerals and Pelstar Resources. He is a past Director of Young Professionals in Energy and a founding Board Member of National Association of Royalty Owners – Shreveport Chapter.

Kevin attended American College of Dublin, Ireland and received his BS from Lynn University in Boca Raton, Florida.

Josh currently serves as Chief Financial Officer for Momentum Minerals. Prior to joining Momentum, Josh worked in the Investments, Mergers, and Acquisitions group for EDP Renewables, focusing on greenfield investments and acquisitions for commercial scale renewable energy production. Before that, Josh worked in the Economic and Valuation Services practice at KPMG, providing business valuation consulting services related to M&A, tax, and financial reporting primarily within the oil, gas, and power generation industries.

Josh also has previous experience providing land services to independent oil and gas companies, including title work, leasehold acquisition, and oversight of well-level land management activities from leasehold acquisition to spud.

Josh received his BA and MBA from the University of Texas at Austin.

Sarita is the CAO of Momentum Minerals. She is responsible for Accounting, Treasury, HR, and Acquisition related functions within the organization. Sarita previously oversaw the oil & gas royalty revenue for Apollo Global Management. Prior to joining Apollo, she worked in the accounting department at Rosetta Resources who was later acquired by Noble Energy.

Sarita graduated from the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks, ND with a BA in Accounting.

Sarita is a member of The National Association of Royalty Owners.

Trace Williams currently serves as the Vice President of Business Development at Momentum Minerals. Prior to joining Momentum, Trace was an Acquisitions Analyst at Apollo Royalties Management. Prior to joining Apollo, Trace worked for Phillips Energy Partners in Shreveport, Louisiana as an engineering technician and acquisitions analyst.

Trace received a B.B.A in Managerial Finance from the University of Mississippi and is from Houston Texas.

Trace is a member of the American Association of Professional Landmen (AAPL), Independent Petroleum Association of America (IPAA), Permian Basin Landmen Association (PBLA), the National Association of Royalty Owners (NARO), Young Professionals in Energy (YPE) and Young Professionals in Finance (YPF).

Alex currently serves as Vice President of Finance & Acquisitions for Momentum Minerals. Prior to joining Momentum, Alex worked in the Economic and Valuation Services practice at KPMG where he provided business valuation consulting services related to M&A, tax, and financial reporting, with a primary focus in the oil and gas industry.

Alex received his BS in Economics from the University of Texas at Austin.

Preston currently serves as Vice President of Engineering for Momentum Minerals. Prior to joining Momentum, Preston was an Associate with Detring Energy Advisors focusing on upstream A&D advisory. Prior to Detring, Preston was a Reservoir Engineer with Encino Energy focusing on A&D and portfolio management covering primarily the Anadarko and Appalachian Basins. Preston began his career with Newfield Exploration working the Eagle Ford and Williston Basin in several engineering capacities.

Preston received his BS in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.

Preston is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE).

Marc currently serves as Vice President of Land for Momentum Minerals. Prior to joining Momentum, Marc worked with Wise & Susong, LLC where he managed all land functions for a portfolio of clients, including Momentum and Apollo Royalties Management. Prior to Wise & Susong, Marc worked for Shoreline Gas, LLC where he marketed natural gas and natural gas liquids for independent operators. Prior to Shoreline Gas, Marc was an independent landman for Moffitt & Associates.

Marc received his BA from the University of Texas at Austin.

Blake Henningsen currently serves as an Acquisitions Analyst at Momentum Minerals. His responsibilities include deal generation and valuation.

Prior to joining Momentum, Blake worked at Haymaker Minerals and Royalties in Houston, Texas where his responsibilities included title work and mineral and royalty acquisitions. Prior to joining Haymaker, Blake worked as a landman for Rock Ridge Royalties in Fort Worth, Texas.

Blake received a B.S. degree in Applied Geoscience from TCU in 2017.

Price Herndon currently serves as Sr. Accountant for Momentum. Prior to joining Momentum, Price worked at Haymaker Minerals and Royalties where he focused on financial reporting and special projects for the accounting and finance groups. Prior to Haymaker, Price worked as a financial analyst for Occidental Petroleum, primarily in the Permian EOR group. Price began his career at PwC as an audit associate in the private client services group, serving clients primarily in the oil and gas industry.

Price graduated from Baylor University in Waco, TX with a BA in Accounting.

Price is a licensed CPA in the state of Texas.

Sloan Gregor is a Division Order Analyst at Momentum. He transitioned from Accounting to Land to focus solely on Division Orders after earning certification through MSU Denver in 2020. After joining the team in 2018 as a Sr. Revenue Accountant, he assisted Momentum’s CAO in various accounting duties, including receivables, payables, 1099s, and property tax. At that time, he managed our company’s revenue and division orders. Previous accounting experience was obtained at Black Stone Minerals in their Revenue Accounting department where he served for 9 years. Sloan is also a Notary Public in the State of Texas.

Sara Doyle currently serves as Sr. Engineering Technician helping manage Momentums growing portfolio. Prior to joining Momentum, Sara worked at EnerVest, Ltd. in the reservoir engineering department with assets in the Austin Chalk region.

Sara has a B.S. degree in Marketing from Louisiana State University in 2007

Tiffany McCleary serves as Media Relations Manager and Revenue Accountant at Momentum Minerals. Prior to joining the Momentum team, she worked in marketing and sales at Mansfield Marketing. She also held a position as a Cosmetic Surgery Patient Coordinator at My Houston Surgeons where she assisted in the marketing and social media management for the company.

Tiffany has a degree in Behavioral Science and is currently finishing her B.A. in Communications at the University of Houston Clear Lake.

Michael Anzilotti currently serves as a Junior Analyst with Momentum Minerals. Prior to Joining Momentum, Michael worked in Corporate Trust at Wells Fargo working with CDOs and CLOs. Before joining Wells Fargo, Michael worked for Haymaker Minerals & Royalties as a Revenue Analyst.

Michael received a B.A. degree in Finance from Texas State University in 2017.

Jacob currently serves as a Junior Analyst with Momentum Minerals. Jacob is a recent graduate of Sam Houston State University, with a BA in Finance and a minor in banking. Prior to graduating from Sam Houston State, Jacob was a member of the University of Mary-Hardin Baylor Men’s Golf Team from 2014-2016, where he was a two-time American Southwest Conference Player of the Week and the 2015 Men’s ASC Team Champion.
